How To Jailbreak iPhone 4S & iPad Jailbreak 5.0/5.0.1 with CLI Tool on Windows [Video]

Got a Windows computer and want to jailbreak your A5 (iPhone 4S and iPad 2) and tired of waiting for the “DreamTeam”? Your in luck. There’s a way to do it using CLI tool that was released by the Dev Team.

“iPhone Dev have also incorporated the exact same flow into an alternative command-line interface (CLI). This will allow us to help users through individual steps of the jailbreak manually, to both help the user and help improve the overall flow. Although the CLI will also allow the user to perform the entire jailbreak from beginning to end, we anticipate it will be more useful in debugging the occasional errors. The CLI currently has over 20 individual options (in addition to the single “jailbreak” option) that should be useful during debug after the GUI release. – iPhone Dev Team”

Back up your A5 iDevice then Restore to 5.0.1 (fresh restore)

Step 1. Download the CLI here and unzip it.

Step 2. Connect your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S to your computer.

Step 3. Open Terminal > Start Command Prompt (Start Menu -> cmd.exe)

Step 4. Browse to the directory that you extracted the tools to.

Step 5. Now to run the jailbreak, type these commands one by one, always allow the step to finish.

cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig
cinject.exe -j payloads
cinject.exe -w

Step 6. Toggle the VPN on in the settings on your iDevice and now wait for the reboot.

Having Trouble?-

1. Try changing your USB cord.
2. If you get an error after entering the command: <cinject.exe -j payloads>. Go to settings –> General –> Reset –> Erase All Content and Settings then go back to step 4.
3. You may be entering a password when “Jailbreak is asked to install.” THERE IS NO PASSWORD! Just press next!
